O, My America
an eagle in flight o’er the Colorado Rocky Mountains
embraces freedom-
soaring o’er states in sight with might,
searching for a way togetherness can shine;
the United States of America, you are beautified when
patriotic unity brings ease-
(a red, white and blue flag flaps in the Chicago breeze…)
o, my America,
land of independent sovereignty-
may medallion sunsets in the west blaze over the desert
in the heat of Arizona,
and the four seasons riveting Michigan bring excitement-
i pray that deliverance from war be our latitude;
may we search and find harmony and accord
for i am but an American wearing gratitude the Lord has
bestowed "LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS"
