November Chill

Rain gently fell upon the snow the white crisp flakes slowly melted under the warmer droplets grass that had turned brown restored to some of it's former green while the wet leaves clung onto the bottom of the shoe the dull grey skies hung low making it feel like a dreary day the cold November chill permeated through the bones only a prequel to the harshness of the upcoming winter season

Ooohoo! That pretty much says what it's like here to Phyl. I had a week off for vacation and then my husband became delirious, and I called 911. They took him to hospital, and he tested positive for covid. Now I have also tested positive. Feel terrible. Loved the poem. A good write. God Bless, JB

Judy I am so sorry to hear that you both are down with covid. I do hope you both are feeling better. I had it last Jan and Feb. and had clotting and other problems with it. I am sending prayer for both of you for a full recovery. Hugs and take care. God bless you two. love phyl

The reminder that winter is here to stay November is. I'm being reminded that poetry are those things that we remember that accompany events like winter.

Thanks for your comment and yes winter is a time where we are stuck inside and time to write if our muse wants to cooperate. Lately not so much. love phyl

November there your last month of Autumn,November, our last month of Spring, I love your description of the leaves playing up and down a street within a cool gusty wind, so vivid a picture you paint with your magic words. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer Jennifer

Thanks Jennifer for your comment. Got dumped on with a lot of snow yesterday and today. Now the leaves are covered up and I think winter has set in. Yuck hoping for early spring. love phyl

- Lovely described ... I don't like this time where the snow comes and melts over and over again ... cold and nasty ... - We haven't had snow yet ... thanks for that :) - hugs

Thanks my friend the rain and then the snow has made roads slippery. Went right thru an intersection on a red light today. To icy to drive anywhere. love phyl
