Not a Poem Please Read

Hey everyone! So I'm not a Premium Member so I can't post a blog (otherwise I would). But I just wanted to say, I apologize for my year-long absence. I know that's kind of extreme, but please just know that life gets in the way sometimes; we get busy and get writer's block on occasion. But to add to the drama, just today our landlord gave us three months notice on the house to move out, and move to a new place. This was unexpected for me, especially since I've lived in this house most of my life (15 years to be exact) ... so I don't know what's going to happen!! If you don't see me on the Soup for several days in a row this is probably why. I'll try to keep in touch as much as I can ... bad timing, I know, since I just recently came back! (my family is seriously thinking about moving to Georgia ... I live in Idaho!!) I hope that I can still pop in, read some work, and post a poem on occasion ... but it won't be as frequently as I have been doing, until we finally get settled in, and figure out what exactly we're doing. Thanks for reading this, being tremendous friends, and writing stellar poetry. I appreciate you all. P.S. This is not goodbye. I will not be leaving for a year like last time! In fact you will probably still see me pop up ... but I'm posting this up so that no one worries if I'm gone for several days in a row... Peace!

Thank you Andrea. You're always so kind ... I am sure you have not seen the last of me. Just will be hectic for a bit.

Oh Dear Tim: Everyone is going to be so sad in Idaho that you have to move away and here on the Soup that you can only visit as time allows. At least we have your poem list to read back through. I am facing a similar situation . Will send emails. I pray everything will fall into place for you. Take each step as it comes. BIG HUGS, SuZ

Thank you Suzanne! We will definitely still keep in touch! My family is still taking it all in, so at the moment it's still quiet ... but soon it's gonna be hectic.

Hi Timothy, sorry to hear about your challenge. Perhaps it is a good thing even though it may be difficult. I am also in a state of transition so I feel bad I am not able to read and comment on as many of my friends work as I would like. Take care my friend.

Thanks Richard! The change, as you say, might actually be nice ... but at the moment I don't know how to describe what I'm feeling.

Hi Timothy. Georgia is my favorite place on earth! Totally understand the time thing. I have been writing here at the soup, almost from the start and come and goes as life demands. Elaine

I've been to Georgia a couple times, and it is pretty beautiful (very different from Idaho) ... Thanks for reading, and your concern. It will all sort itself out eventually...

Wishing you the best Tim, and sorry for all of your troubles at this time! Will definitely be reading your awesome work. Always, Laura

I was absent two years...sometimes life gets in the way and your poems and kind comments will be missed if you vanish for a bit, I am sure you will be back and welcomed with open arms...I pray all works out, i had been in that situation except was given 5 weeks and ended up buying a place instead of renting...hugs

Thanks Sandra! Not entirely out of the woods, but it's going to be really hectic for me soon ... a lot of things accumulate after 15 years; stuff to sale, stuff to get rid of ... wondering if I'm moving somewhere in town or half way across America. The uncertainty is what leaves you feeling at limbo!

I'm so sorry to read this ... I will have you in my thoughts and hope that everything works out for you Timothy - life does throw curved balls at us from time to time it is never plain sailing as we would like. Do pop in and see us when time allows:-) hugs Jan xx

Yeah ... it's one thing too move, but to be forced to move is another thing. I'm sure it will work out too, just might take a while to get in the swing of normal life again ... thanks again Jan. You are very sweet and kind!

Thanks for your passion and concern, Emile. I have few friends in Idaho (but they are quality friends). But I also have family in Georgia, so I'm a bit torn on what's going to happen ...

Hi Timothy! Things will be fine...look on the positive side. Remember you're moving house and not home! In the meantime Soup is staying put, and since you have a key, you are free to pop in when it suits you. Having said that, I will miss your presence...you bring with you whiffs of fresh air:) ~ All the best, my friend. // paul

Thank you Paul! Makes me feel better. If I'm going to be technical about it, I actually DO have family in Georgia (it's just other issues like finance, and leaving behind my friends in Idaho)... you'll definitely still see me. And when things get more settled, I will come back with flying colors :)

You'll be ok, sweetie. I'll keep your spot warm for you. Come when you can. I'll miss you. Hope things work out for the best. It's hard to move....but might be for the best. You know what Paul says in Romans...all things work for the best for who love the Lord who are called according to his purpose. Hugs, dear...

Thanks for that Eileen ... you are always so sweet. Both my sister and brother actually told me that they think it's a sign (maybe ... who knows?) ... It's just strange getting used to something so long, and then having to deal with drastic change. Like you said ... it will all work out.

My friend, Timothy, I read it with great attention and see the situation you are in in which I have found many times in my long life, because I had lost my parents at the age of 10 and 14, so I had to be moving all time. At any rate, my feeling is that something will come up and you will not have to be moving! Just keep it! All will be fine, my friend! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks Demetrios for your compassion! I am very sorry to hear about your parents ... that sounds rough. As far as the moving goes I'm feeling a mix of emotions at the moment ... in some ways I think it's a blessing in disguise ... I'm not sure.

I was, happy to see you back Timothy, you've given so much in this time of your return. I will pray for your situation. Take your time, we aren't going anywhere. Family first. Thanks for being sweet and returning when you have time.... Blessings, Linda

You need not apologize for absences of any length, Timothy. Life usually hands us unexpected surprises. Your family is your top priority, so take care of those needs. I'll miss seeing your poetry and comments as often, but I'm sure the move will present you with ideas for writing more of your well written poems. Thanks for the heads up and I wish you and your family well and bonne chance!

Thanks Eve. Means a lot. I'm feeling a lot of different things at the moment that would take too long to explain in detail through text. Nervous, excited, sad, and so on...
