No Longer a Friend
I’ve come to realize, there’s nothing for me
You’re a tiny bit selfish. I’m starting to see
For the sake of your pride, you hide and tell lies
You commit, we agree, but you never abide
Kindred spirits, you and I, like two peas in a pod
Much the same, but unique, equivocally odd
So deeply, we feel. We share, much, passion
I make you laugh and you help me ration
But, no longer can I find, a friend in you
In and out of my life, whenever you choose
I’ll be your support. Even though it’s one sided
But I won’t count on you. You failed when I tried it
