Each time I feel your icy breath
pressing in upon me
it serves only a reminder
of how fear remains to taunt me
Fear and doubt to steal my peace
and rob me of my joy
meant to yank and pull my chains
as if a puppet toy
But mine was made, that sacred choice
of afterlife believing
to claim the love of Jesus Christ
His sacrifice receiving
So when fear comes to circle
in a whirlwind all around me
in lashing ice of roaring winds
where blackness soon surrounds me
This heart I hold of courage
for to look you in the eye
is filled with faith
which gives me strength
no fear of death have I
