Nighttime Serenity

A train A whistle A full moon Feelings amassed In proportions Awesome and tranquil Nighttime emotion Become so serene Just like those lamplights And bedtime fans Twirling in twilight Adjusting to the night Eyes see little But the leftover reds From the light As night commences In full accord Only the sound of the train Clanking down the tracks And the distant whistle Remain And the sound Of the fan Whirl-winding around In complete rhythm To the train And the moons escape Towards infinity As night moves along And I drift off to sleep… Russell Sivey

This is really nice, Russell. It's got lots of soothing images (except for the clanking train!!) but really puts you in the mind of someone trying to sleep. Love it.

I feel the silence of the night--interrupted only by the sound of the train and rhythm of a fan--happy dreams my friend in the company of a full moon! Good work, Russell!
