New Year's Eve - Repost

New Year’s Eve I need to feel the trade winds blow To know they have my heart in tow, Here in the twilight of this hour I feel the grandeur of God’s power. The Sun, a ball of golden fire Rises with my heart’s desire That this New Year will offer love As Sol begins to rise above. How wonderful, the winter sky— With mist filled clouds that float on by. Sweet birds of beauty on the wing, Portends the gifts New Year will bring. © Connie Marcum Wong My Muse is the New Year Contest: Ekphrasis 12 Line Max Sponsored by Rick Parise *Note: I am reposting this poem because I am unable to edit the title. 2014

I agree with Carolyn, a New year about to come in is like a new lease on life, it is as if we are given another chance. I think this is a breathtaking poem and I have faved it. I have always wanted to visit Hawaii, it sounds breath taking. Blessings Connie, Hugs, Jennifer.

New Year's always evokes a sense of introspection. As that sun rises, we feel like we have a new lease on life and positive changes can be made. Your imagery is beautiful, Connie, and I can just see the tropical birds flying over Hawaii on New Year's. Indeed, they seem like heralds of good things to come. Hugs, carolyn

Well done, Connie! Your problems must be Spectrum? I find that I frequently can not comment because the Captcha code gets converted to lower case, or I can not log in without being re-directed to another site, or like this morning, "Limerick" get converted to "List" no matter how many time I click on it! Aloha! Rico

Thank you very much Sam. I am in a better place this year than last. This was written in 2014 when I was filled the joy of caring for my granddaughter. I hope you are having a great year. xxoo
