My Wedding Anniversary Today

We married, on your birthday! In San Francisco City Hall. There was no family present, Just you and I~ that's all! We were two very young, and very much in love elopers. Nothing stood in our way, we were over-comers, not life-copers. Who drove from frozen, blizzardly Chicago to our foggy city by the bay. We chose to live our lives in our own unique artistic way. There was no wedding reception, no gifts, no band. Just a couple divinely in love, and Panagiota so proud to wear that gold wedding band! Death took you from this life, when you were still very young. But her love for you, remains a song, that everyday is sung. And this forever young bride cannot forget that day. The sun, the Cable Cars, the glorious fog, as her tears now fall into San Francisco Bay! Rest in peace, my love! Panagiota January 29,2022

Joe, I thank you with humility. And a Fav, bless you. Cool how you and Gershon, liked the same phrase. We did not have long together, but how blessed those years were. Close, intimate and unforgettable.))) Panagiota xxoo

I remember your long trek from Chicago to San Francisco, two young elopers, how tragic he passed away so young, but you were a fighter and carried on, but it must have been hard for you. One day you will be reunited in paradise. Happy anniversary. Tom

'Elopers and life-copers' -- That rhyme deserves a prize in and of itself!... as part of a deeply moving poem. I cried reading it. May you reunite with your eternal love when the time is right, Panagiota. ~ Tears of Joy, Gershon

All my friends signed this card. I am truly impressed by the quality of your lives and your contribution to mine. It was hard times! An elopement from Sauganash to a one bedroom home? From a Chevy Bel Air which Dad took away, to no car, just buses. But reading all the Russian novels and poetry . replaced tawdriness...I cry, too! I wrote we were elopes, Not life covers. I also think those few words, thorough not eighteen syllables long are me. Neither Ralph or I talked like books. That kind of poetry bores me to tears. Speak from the soul....is soothing to me. Thus my beginning, in poetry and SF had many, still does. We went to City Lights many times. Food was scarce. But love? Plentiful. He rests in the Hills of Marin. Panagiota xoxo
