My Trees Appear To Be Bare
All of my trees appear to have been bare
Leaves with pine needles lay everywhere
Grass no longer green we can always tell;
To see all of God's works will sit for a spell.
Birds still eat food while they are singing
Reminds me of how I often am have being
In God's sight things will be at their best
Have thought of Him much as I do rest.
What if gracious God I would have been,
Saving people from hurt and so much sin
Much responsibility for me to try and take
Helping all those whose hearts do break.
God I am glad that You are who You are
Savior of souls as well as a guiding star
Heaven will have so many stories to tell
How horrible angel had ended up in hell.
Disciples there did tell us about things
How in heaven all of the angels sings
Savior born who for our sins sufficed
Who one day was called Jesus Christ.
Now my Savior seems so close and near
Did die and to heaven would disappear
After He had been raised from the dead
Drank his wine and had eaten his Bread.
