My Porch
My soul, a fridgid cold, with the hardening of my heart.
The sun stepped on my porch after many years apart.
It's warm embrace swept through, melting soft with just a touch.
I realized at that moment, that I'd missed the sun so much.
My cart was spilling over; breaking down with heavy load.
A breath of air flowed ore my porch from many moons ago,
to gently lift and carry far, my burden layden season.
It seemed of late I could not breath, now I understand the reason.
Alone but never lonely, just adrift in no man's land,
then my world strolled right up on my porch and took me by the hand.
I asked him why he loved me and he said this without pause,
"God put you here for me to love"............... I love him without cause.
