My Inner Light - Sq
Painting by Leonid Afremov
Older, I grow each birth of dawn,
then, more when sun has set and gone.
My soul feels mirth, days come and go.
Each birth of dawn, older, I grow.
On shifting shore, I lightly tread
in fear of what might lie ahead.
I pray my strength will soon restore.
I lightly tread on shifting shore.
With inner light, I tend to blooms.
God’s gift to me when darkness looms
My vibrant vase brightens gray sight.
I tend to blooms with inner light.
My love remains this sleepless hour
in search of dreams as shadows tower.
Held in your arms, my darkness wanes.
This sleepless hour, my love remains.
