My Beloved America

Something cries deep within the heart of me for the fate of this dear land where I live free So many perils are there to endanger us all, freedom teeters, is in danger to one day fall My feet have marched, my wheels have rolled to keep all men free in this nation's sweet fold My voice have I often raised in chant and song to fight for this land to stay solid and strong For men of every color, race and ethnicity have I given my strength for shared diversity No walls will this old heart support or tolerate for enemies live within with their evil and hate There is a blight on America and its at our head, if not stopped, we might all find ourselves dead

Nicely penned, Sherry. Rhythmic messaging. Soft cadence, ever so strident! Best wishes, Gershon

Thank you for your great review. People call me a worrier - but now more and more people are beginning to see what is amassing...chaos and possible war.

Aha, a political missive from an advocate. Well done, indeed, Sherry. I am enjoying the ending in particular.
