Morning Prayer
let noise drift swiftly swirling away on angry grey clouds
let troubles tumble into rough winter waves
while I
exhausted
joyfully
breathe your name--
Hashem*
let the pain of ten thousand wars be soothed by Your balm
let the glory of a thousand suns break through the sky
dazzling reflection
of the Holy Spark
within
each of us--
Blessed in
Your Image
let me follow the grace of Your guiding hand
let me learn from the wise words of those before me--
see Your face
shine
in each magnificent
creation--
lend my hand
with pleasure
where need
cries out in
gentle whispers.
Amen. Amen. Amen.
*Hashem--Jewish word for G_d
