Moonlit Tears - Lyrics

Tears In Heaven by Kuschelirmel Whisper softly inside my ear Tell me the words I long to hear Waiting for you, restless at night I sit alone in soft, candlelight… Seeking your light A midnight moon will glisten through my tears The lonely nights without you, my greatest fear Lying awake as dawn stirs the sky I will miss your embrace but you won’t see my cry Help me, Lord.…ohhh, help me , please When midnight moon rises to meet my fears In the day’s hours, sunlight turns gray while I replay scenes and words I would say Thinking of you, alone with her I’ll set you free but memories will stir… While you’re loving her A midnight moon will glisten through my tears The lonely nights without you, still my greatest fear Lying awake as dawn stirs the sky I will miss your embrace But you won’t see me cry Help me, Lord….Ohhh, help me, please When midnight moon rises to meet my fears (I’ll always miss you, baby…) Written 6/25/20 Contest – Songwriter’s Challenge Sponsor – John Hamilton Choice #1 – Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me”

Way to go, Rhonda! Maybe you could have Greg Barden set it to music if you have not already done that yourself. It is certainly worth recording! Terrific write!

Thank you, Curtis. That is so sweet of you. I haven't set it to music, but maybe one day I will. I wouldn't trouble anyone. Blessings, Rhonda xx

The grey shades of pain, loss, abandonment are musically expressed in your soft verses. Though there are tears yet your song sings of a melody that comforts hearts in agony Rhonda. This is sad yet beautiful. Congratulations on your win. Blessings and love :)

Rhonda, as Elton John used to sing, sad songs say so much... your song lyrics touch on many deep emotions relating to losing love; fear, sadness, longing, regret. Is insomnia an emotion? Well, I'm going to add that to the list regardless! Great lyrics - wish I could hear you sing them. Congrats on your top placement with this excellent write ~ John

LOL, you do NOT want to hear me sing them, John! My poor husband had to listen to me sing it through a few times. I really tortured him. I'll be like Bernie Taupin and let Elton do the singing...Thanks for the kind comments and congrats, Rhonda xx

#1 and rising higher all the time. This is incredibly good, Rhonda. Are you sure you're not in the song-writing business?! There's gold in them thar hills --- or at least there used to be. ~ Irving Berlin (a very distant relative of mine). Ciao, gw
