Midsummer Rain

Pitter Patter, tiny splashes engulf— like hungry little feet filling hallways. A busy day ahead demands results, and yet my awe creates a rain delay. Crescendos beyond open windows play, as the slow fan above my bed keeps time— a metronome on a midsummer’s day. Stalling my awakening so sublime, thank you summer rains for extending sleep so prime! I enjoyed your celebration of the rain so much Michael. Rain sounds soothe the soul and petrichor scents the air with heavenly perfume after it rains. I can't believe no one has left a comment on this beauty. I loved it! Bravo! : )

Awe...thank you Connie. That one too was so much fun to create. It's nice to have a new friend who enjoys the simpler things in life...like rain! :-)
