Memorial Day

MEMORIAL DAY ©Dr. James E. Martin We pause to remember again this day, Those many who fell so far away. They bravely served and paid the price That we refer to as the supreme sacrifice. That we may live in this land so free, And enjoy the liberties that we daily see, Is a blessing that is ours at great cost And that which should never to carelessness be tossed. Yes, many have served under the flag of this land And to the end continued to stand. Unable they were to death escape, This flag their coffin did so beautifully drape. (Copyrighted 2008)
