Light a candle Go on a vigil Put a handle On Twitter if you will Say your piece Grab sound-bytes Find release In media fights Then off to a cocktail To talk of your deed Bemoan of happenings As you drink up your mead And when some time passes Look up a cause Think of starving masses As you pour on the sauce Such and such needs justice Our liberty’s at stake Set right what’s amiss Just give them your take Light another candle Bask in its light For brief is its mantle As it fades overnight. Through the times I’ve seen Days of thunder and noise Each cause a has-been Aborted child of media’s choice ~26 Jul 2016~

That is sad the aborting of innocence. Karma, even though the moment fades, a stain will always remain..skat

Thank you, Probir. Have seen too many candle marches and vigils which last a day, maybe a week... and then the cause fades away till replaced by a new one ... sad commentary on our society. ~karam~
