Man

He paid no attention to the naked Beauty of the sunset baring itself Before the sun sets under the covers Prior to retiring at the days end Nor a glance at the sky embracing earth Made him realize there was so much He could have seen in this fleeting abode But he was too busy chasing pipe dreams Had no time to smell the morning freshness Or to see the stretching sun waking up And the welcoming array of colors Put up by the rejoicing horizon He failed to see the sparkles of beauty And the gleam of happiness on faces Admiring artistry of the Maker Laid out free for all to share for a glance He was too busy designing tools of Destruction to annihilate what was Comfort for his soul and placid for his mind One day he will look at dawn and see the truth
