We were young and free spirited right from the start, We looked into each other’s eyes and entered each other’s hearts But her parents didn’t want it and made her pull away She didn’t say that it was over but called me names to feel okay So we went off dating others although I tried to reach out to her And last year our hearts were broken which I didn’t want to occur But now she is in love again and happy and she’s free Her happiness is my happiness and that is the best present for me
