Loneliness
Loneliness
Barren the wasteland flowed in front of my feet.
Nothing save a pebble in this desert does repeat.
And behind me years lost in my embattled defeat.
Time lost forgetting the taste of bread.
Time lost forgetting kisses on my son's head.
So much inside me is dead.
and every day
the sky is muted grey
like that little girl ignored by her father
like that skinny dog with no shelter
every day lasts a year
and every year a lifetime to bare
in front of my feet nothing everywhere
