Little Red Trolley

In the heat and rain , upon tracks rusted and bare A little red trolley sits, remembering former days Of horse drawn carriages, filled with new marriages Of clanging bells and merry people, Doing chores,or walking into stores Rolling hills and long tall steeples Weathered stones in grass covered cemeteries Busy times filled with haunted memories Rising from the haze of long forgotten days

I'm wondering if you saw this old little red trolley and wrote about it, or was this all out of your imagination? It's really good, Jim. Love your writing.

If only such a quiet and simpler time could return to replace the hustle and bustle of modern day society... I like the small town atmosphere that you create in this poem. It reminds me of home... Great work Jim!
