Little Girl Of Yesterday She rises every now and then though her heart is filled with sorrow. With memories of way back when and tears saved for tomorrow. She thinks about the used to bes, and dreams that don't come true. Times she prayed down on her knees and things life put her through. The broken hearts and brand new starts the friends that came and went. People that all played their parts precious moments that she spent. She's looking in the mirror at the lines etched in her face. Time grows ever nearer she's relying on Gods grace. To see her through the things undone and life that's left to live. To teach her when to walk or run and help her to forgive. That little girl of yesterday things aren't like things before. The little girl has gone away she doesn't live here anymore. Still she rises every now and then though her heart is filled with sorrow. With memories of way back when and tears saved for tomorrow. Edwin C Hofert

Lovely piece, Edwin, I think we all have that bleak side, with our regrets, if only's and what may have been. Enjoyed the read. Regards, Viv

Nice Ed, love to know your source of inspiration for this write, unless, of course, it's personal.

My inspiration for this is the women in my life. The struggles I see and the strength and wisdom that is born of the trials they face. :) My mother, my daughter and all my wonderful friends.
