Listen Up, World

Burning with envy,
or consumed with jealousy,
United Nations members cheated
the world, and themselves,
almost since inception.
Today, President Trump
sent a powerful message
to China, who sits quietly
as a looming tyrant:
“Don’t mess with the U. S.”
A subtle signal resonates
through the halls of the U. N.
as a warning to its members.
May it secure UN clarity
as once demonstrated in granting
Jewish people the God-given
right to their own nation
in nineteen forty-eight.
Never forget the Holocaust!
