Listen To the Warmth
In life at times we must say goodbye to those we love
To those we hold close in the very recess of our being
It is then we cry because we have them no more
I'll let you go walk with Jesus forevermore
To keep my place here now that your gone
A narrow road I've found myself on.
As I walk along with my heart heavy and my head bowed low
To keep myself company I sing a song
Merciful LORD I belong to you
Wonderful God you are
I no longer feel heavy and my head is lifted high
The quickened pace of my heart I can feel as it beats in my breast
The souls of my feet running as fast as they can
My inner man begins to jump and leap
As the presence of Jesus captures me
I now know that your departure is but for a time
I can rejoice, I can sing, I can run, I can dance, I can praise
The Christ Son of God my best friend whom I love
Jesus stay close to me and live in me as I have loved
That When I myself am departed and gone
You've shone so brightly and burned so within
That if one hangs their head low
They too sing a song
