Linger

Let me close my eyes for a moment, For a fleeting breath or two. Let me linger here In a slice of setting sunlight - In that place between Awake and a-dream Where you still breathe with me. Let me see your smile for a moment, For a fleeting beat or two, And hear your wind-chime laughter In that place where you are whole - Where you're not a fading piece Of my wilting history While your gardens grow without you, While your church bells sing without you, While we go on without you. Please. Just linger here with me.

This is so sad, I hope it is from your imagination and not something you are experiencing.

Thank you, Rick - It's about my Nana, who died last September. I still think about her often.
