Limitless Lanterns

Oh,sturdy beloved amber street lanterns, Covered with cold tears from heaven this night. Standing stalwart before our warm homes, No matter how roughly the winds do blow! No huge, blinding citified lamps, not at all. These beloved, amber lights, but five feet tall. Loving their residents, each blessed night. Friendly, welcoming lanterns, they. That make my heart amber-glow, At the close of the each blessed day! March 16, 2020 3am PST

Greetings, Tom! So joyful I was able to communicate this joy I see each evening in words. You apparently know what I feel.-)) Everything's coming up roses, as they say. The flowers are blossoming outside my living room, not roses...but some white flowers that have the scent of magnolia. Beautiful, totally! God's hands at work! Keep writing your excellent poetry, do! Thank you for asking how I was faring! Panagiota xx

The low iron streetlamps remind me of Charles Dickens and his stories. When the last of the incandescent bulbs goes out, there will be a loss. Let your heart glow bright this day Panagiota. -Richard

Richard~ incandescent lightbulbs are coming back to the USA...zowie. Love your bright comparison to the works of Dickens! Utterly charming... My heart is glowing brightly, how did you know?-)) A beautiful wish, by the way. Thank you, dear poet and friend! Panagiota xx

If only I had an image to add...cannot add. On an old iPad. They are almost like having a Christmas tree that we light when it is dark. I love your comment, like totally! Thanking you... Panagiota xx
