Brandon Castle, once famous for its flint, is now a treasure of lilac perfume in the springtime. Sadly, mankind's attempts to create lilacs that will grow in a different environment has not been successful, but at least people can enjoy your verse! Aloha!

This was beautiful Janet. Lilacs were always one of my favorite flowering shrubs, so colorful and fragrant, but sadly they don't grow in the area I moved to. I tried to bring back some cuttings from home, but it didn't work out. What we have here that comes close is the Mountain Laurel, my new favorite flowering shrub. :) Your poem brought back wonderful memories to me. Thank you for sharing.
