The term Reiki comes from the Japanese language meaning universal life force energy. Reiki is a natural energy that comes from God, Holy Spirit, and Jesus. It is used by practitioners and therapists who channel subtle healing through placing their hands on the body. Reiki is a non-invasive healing technique that is applied through light touch or hands over the body to promote whole-body healing. It has been used to alleviate physical illness, disease, spiritual agitation and many other ailments. On a spiritual level, what is Reiki can be defined as the channeling of Divine Energy, which comes from a Higher Power. Reiki practitioners do not have the power of Jesus, but we call on Jesus for help with spiritual healing. “He gives power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increases strength.” [Isaiah 40:29].

Hello Connie - The title says a mouthful as we all search for that answer. Beautiful format of the sonnet aside you wrote your thoughts wonderfully. My yoga teacher did Reiki on me when I broke my shoulder about 6 years ago. I did feel better after. Good for you Connie I'm glad you are doing Reiki as s 2nd career, you are such s kind serene soul your patients will love you . Hugs and blessings Jennifer.

Thank you Jennifer. I am able to send distant reiki which is very helpful to family and friends living on the mainland. I send reiki to my stepson who is still in hospital on the mend. Blessings xxoo

This is so amazing. I never heard about this healing art. We have a natural healing doctor, he is amazing. I love the “He gives power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increases strength.” [Isaiah 40:29] verse God bless you Connie <3 I'm faving this. I wish you practiced in my area. My dear doctor is in his eighties...and still doing well. God gives us His healing properties through many natural means, Isn't He wonderful? <3

Thank you very much Susan. I am a Reikimaster/Teacher so I taught my daughter reiki that she uses while doing her therapeutic massage. Both of us worked on my husband about 15 minutes when he couldn’t stand on his foot because of gout. The next morning he was able to put on his shoe and went out to mow the lawn. If you know anything about gout pain, you will understand what a miracle that was. I wish more people would learn about reiki. Blessings xxoo

It is my stepson Michael Jr. and I am happy to share that he stood up a few days ago. Before that he was only able to move his arms. The new rehab place they moved him to is really helping him and I believe he will be walking soon. Thank you for your concern. I send him distance reiki all the time. xxoo

Thank you Scott. I send my stepson distance Reiki all the time. He had an aneurysm and has been in the hospital since late August. We almost lost him several times but he made it through and two days ago he told me he can stand which is really remarkable. He is in a rehab hospital right now learning to walk again. Reiki is not difficult to learn and it really does work wonders. Blessings xxoo

Many have not heard of it, but may be more familiar with healing touch which is a lot alike. I volunteered three years at our local hospital practicing reiki on patients but had to stop to care for my granddaughter while my daughter works. Thank you very much. Blessings xxoo

My stepson who is still in hospital was taking classes until he suffered his aneurysm. He stood up for the first time yesterday and I am thrilled he is making progress. Reiki is wonderful. Thank you. I had reiki performed on him and two days later he was that much better. Blessings xxoo

My husband had gout and he was in a lot of pain from it. He did not like to ask for help from anyone but my daughter who I thought of to do Reiki and myself insisted on working on his foot. We only worked on him for 15 minutes. He couldn’t walk at all and his foot was so swollen he couldn’t get his shoe on. The next morning he got up put on his shoe and went out to mow the lawn! You are welcome Joseph. Once you learn how to practice reiki you have it for life and you can work on your own body. That is why I became a master because it helped my sore knees so much. I taught my daughter. She uses it in her therapeutic massage. Thank you Joseph. Blessings xxoo

In 2 Corinthians 13:5, the apostle Paul asks the Corinthian believers a question: “Or do you not realize about yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you?” Just like the Corinthians, we believers today need to realize this fact about ourselves. Christ isn’t outside of us as some kind of Helper in our time of need; He actually lives in us and is with us all the time.
