Life Is Like a Maypole
The web of life, so beautifully woven
by ribbon paths of which we've chosen.
The colors, then so stunningly enhanced
when we answer the call to join the dance.
Each part important in the grander scheme;
a miss step could crush others dreams.
In dance we cross the paths of others,
becoming friends, or fathers and mothers.
Round and round, the cycle made whole.
In many ways, life is like a Maypole.
