Life
Childhood ends when Truth sneaks up behind you and whispers “Shhhhhhhhh.”
Shared crayons became last cigarettes,
not enough time —too many firsts.
Whatever the somethings from everything,
remember, it’s only for a while.
The older you get, the more you’ll miss it all.
When the familiar becomes strange,
and every easy, impossible;
because Youth was Wisdom’s most stubborn student.
