Leaving Love
Opening his mind to the colours of night,
Red to wavy soft gold,
He found himself in his head all alone,
Driving his car on the road,
Steering his thoughts to the honest straight line,
Steering away from the shore,
He drove his thoughts away from his hurt,
Towards what he always yearned for,
And came to a fork stuck in the road,
A choice to go left or go right,
To take his dream to a happy new world,
Or continue to stay in the fight,
Then the morning sun shone across his warm face,
Awake in the mind he had packed,
He walked through the door to a world full of hope,
Drove off and never looked back.
