Learning To Love Again
There are no baby steps here
This here, right here
Is the lion strides
You go in strong
Keeping it strong
Knowing you have to be strong
And strong is not even a choice
It's the make of you
It covers you from the branches of your heart
To the pores of your skin
Because you've been here before
You've been hurt before
A lot!
So you walk with your confidence of a lion
Or you watch with your eyes of a hawk
Or stay ready to run with your speed of a cheeter
Or whatever
You have it in there
And maybe in the back of your head, you are like
****'s gonna go wrong
Like it always does
Another heartbreak love poem
Or song
But you are like
@#*% that ****
I will try again
No matter how many times I fall
No matter how many scars I carry
I will not give up on love
