Last Goodbyes
We're gathered here together...
to say our last goodbye
My time on earth is limited...
my spirit soon will fly
In my time of living...
many memories have accrued
For all the love I've been given...
my heart is full of gratitude
Each of you, my children...
our bloodline do share
You can rely on this for strength...
protect it and take care
My grandchildren and great
You're loved beyond we show
Our heritage is in you...
Live a life of faith... live it slow
Oh, love of my life, my darling...
It's only you and I
You've given me love in every way...
Watched me grow and fly
You're a loving, proud, gentle man...
provider and dad
Being outside will heal you
if you're feeling sad
We've talked before, my dear...
when it's my time I'm okay
A spiritual awakening years ago...
changed how I live each day
Be at peace, I leave you now...
It's been a wonderful ride
Live your life, I have no doubt...
We'll rejoin on the other side
