Landscape

The peaks of buds blossom, Into soft pink, white petals Cascading onto the wetted bed, Like a swan dancing in sunshine. The moss on the pebbles by the river, Now blue and green, beneath the light Crisp autumn leaves on terra firma, Flowering quince with thorns held high. The twitters of the humming birds, Fluttering by, floweret to floweret The morning dew upon the stem, Glossy leaves, coy and glum.. 27-11-20 On Your Marks, Naturally, Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Julia Ward
