Jewels You are the one that I love to tease. I lay on my back and stretch out my paws I give you that look, come pet me please! Mornings I come and sit near your door While bathing myself, you call my name, I hear your adoring calls that I just ignore. When you eat a meal I’ll sit near your feet, I voice my plea for a bite with my loud meow. Sometimes you share which I think is sweet. But there is a young girl about ten years old, She is the one i’ll always give all my love. She feeds me and with her I act very bold. She dances with me at a dizzying speed, She kisses and hugs me until I purr. Since a kitten she’s given me all I need. I always come to her whenever she calls me. She spoils me and carries me up the stairs. When she’s in the room she is all that I see. I am content in the sun splayed out on the floor I am a one person kitty, and that’s a true fact. Yes, I am breathing much better and I am getting stronger every day Paula. Thank you so much for caring and your prayers. My granddaughter specifically asked me to write a poem about her kitty and to not put big words in it that she doesn’t understand. She was pleased with this poem. Blessings xxoo

oh dang, you have a cat that loves a little one more too, huh? I am jealous of two granddaughters with new kitty Simba. He sits longer with them and goes to them first. Chico is more loyal to me but lately he is ignoring me sometimes. I have to just remember. A cat is a cat is a cat. GREAT job here with personifying Jewels

Every line is true Paul, so it was an easy poem to write. Why Jewels doesn’t run away from my granddaughter is a mystery but she understands her way of loving her and she adores her. Cats are so cute that it is easy to write on them. This is a lovely poem on your cat... Jewel. Cats love children as they can devote more time to take care of pets.I too am very fond of cats. But now my hubby doesn't allow me to have them inside as my son, when he was young, got bitten by a cat when he accidentally stepped on its tail..... All the Best, Connie !

Awww, that is too bad but understanding Valsa. My oldest daughter was allergic to cats so we had a dog until she was seven. After she left home at seventeen my youngest begged for a cat and we had an outdoor kitty for nine years. Now that my husband passed away we have an indoor kitty who is spoiled rotten. Love your poem and I love cats! Cats are one of God's most beautiful creatures. Mine is named Jeff, a rescue, strictly indoors and follows me around like a puppy sticking his nose into everything I do. In fact he is snoozing on the desk as I write this. Hope all is going well with you - BoB

Hello Connie, my cat is also a one person cat. She sleeps with me all night. She wakes me in the early morning to be fed Sometimes too early I pretend to be asleep. She plays with me. Gives me kisses. She is 9 years old a rescue. Hugs.
