Invitation To Life

Invitation to Life……… 2.19.14 Watching Shadows dance and surrender to the early morning, Life quietly begins a new day beckoning. Cautious is he who gazes upon surroundings familiar with the smell of deceit, decadence calling us to the reckoning. Voids of both space and time enjoy suffocating those weak with indecision, courage must be found within to battle foe evil Elusive are moments stolen from fear’s loathsome touch, Invitations sent: Live now or perish doing nothing, Can you? Dare you? Want to? Choice yours to decide Summoning the lights radiant hue upon the dawns new arrival, Forget images dark with intentions intolerable, a new found cruelty silently waiting Accepting the breeze’s warm smile her love gently envelops lovers near, enchanting songs of passion ring as listening hearts hear melodies harmonious Invitations to life have been delivered did you receive yours? Or are you above the pain? The suffering? Does the crimson blood still stain your white linen attire? Danger, greed a seductive mistress turns men short of faith long in desire into hollow beings, souls replaced by cash and martini sermons. Can you hear the desperate cries as they echo through the night, hope left town for the lost, forgotten images fade from view. One day without warning or morning text remember life can change in the blink of a golden eye, who will love you then as they step over you in your sidewalk mansion? © 2014 David J. Mitchell
