Inside of Me

There is many a day, when I don’t feel I’m o.k. I search for my value in an indirect way. Another’s validation; the temptation. I eat it up, and quickly need more. Feeling as empty as I did before. It would seem wise to look into my own eyes. But, I can only perceive, what I clearly believe. All that I can see is inside of me A transient reflection of self-perception. 08/13/15

so true, it is hard to escape what we can only perceive based on all the things that make us who we are! I enjoyed this poem of yours today, Barbara.

I am always impressed with the ability (that you have) to write in a manner that allows the reader to feel as if they are there. Thank you for your positive reaction to what I wrote! Barbara

Jennifer, Probably the greatest reward that I receive from writing is the notion that my feeling are shared. I know that is often frustrating to take the time to reply. I want you to know that the time you took is important to me.. Barbara
