Ink is the Mistress

Her heart was whirling, swirling, twirling inside the eye of a whirlwind, so I weaved words to calm her rage, because, like an empathic eagle, a poet is a storm chaser, unafraid of human hurricanes. A wordsmith word weaves against windstorms, decorating nebulous skies with rainbow bridges, kissing the warm balmy neon glow of the sun, softly soothing, vivid vexations through intimate intrinsic artistry, because, a cloudless day is a bandage wrapped... Too tight. Only a bard can affectionately alliterate the grip of grief, as poetry can be the cure to calm tempested trauma. Ink is the mistress to butterfly sentiments. I will not stop the moths from devouring you, as long as they feed on toxic thoughts. I have made a home on the moon, where stardust scribbles carry us to freedom.

SO, poetry is indeed a wonderful thing for those that weave words together to express thoughts. It is a true psychoanalytic endeavor and your recognition and salute to what you do is nothing short of a human miracle. Your closing lines two lines are very comforting and a testament to your kindness for others. I am very glad you have a safe placed carved out!

Yes, sometimes when it's in black and white, it makes more sense.

A lovely piece that pictures the power of Ink and how it can bleed and heal. A Word Smith's best friend is the Ink. Love the write. "like an empathic eagle, a poet is a storm chaser, unafraid of human hurricanes." A poet is many things beyond the surface of the earth. That was my favourite line.

A heart healing poem, Silent One. It touched my heart to know that they're those that write to heal others. Such a selfless mission in life to empathize with others and their needs and write healing words to their hearts and souls. You are a blessing to many my friend. A FAV for my list. By the way ... bawled like a baby while listening to "Fix You". The music you put with your poems are 99% of the music I ever hear these days. Ever song touches my heart. Thank you for sharing. Bill

brilliant creation, Silent One...no a masterpiece! :-) I agree...a poet's ink can heal those in need of healing and can touch the lives of many unseen. It's miraculous to me. Lovely images; and next to Ink, you're the alliteration King! :-) A splendid and inspirational read, Sara

Is this a tribute to Inky? In any case I have to say it is utterly outstanding. One of your best of late. You're so good at alliteration and free verse

No it is not a tribute to inky, its about how a poet and poem can heal those who may be feeling down... You never know when ink can touch another.. I guess its not the best title..

Dear Silent One, you stirred my soul on this one. Your portrayal of the poet as a storm chaser, using creative words to calm raging hearts, deeply touched me. Like you, I've found great peace in the artistry of poetry, crafting verses to soothe the storms within. I really loved your imagery of rainbow bridges and moonlit homes speaks to the transformative power of words. SO, poetry can be a beacon of light and healing even in the chaos which you nailed. - Blessings, my friend, Daniel

Dear Silent, your poem is truly exceptional and filled with profound spiritual depth. Your poetic talent shines brilliantly in this piece, and it is evident that you possess a remarkable ability to capture the essence of emotions. The way you have arranged the lines and utilized wordplay is truly captivating. Poets indeed possess a unique fearlessness when it comes to confronting the storms of human experience, and I am aware of a few who are particularly drawn to such tempestuous encounters.

Seems like your words crossed the bridge to her heart like a sparrow small flying through a storm to offer a thoughtful hand...

Wow! What a profound poem this is! Silent one! What can i say, when you weave words, its always magic, and anyone can resonate with your words woven in such a creative manner: i love the way youv designed the poem, the arrangement of lines and your wordplay: and i agree poets arent afraid of human hurricanes, so some like to stay as storm chasers, i know few that are attracted to storms, i am not, .. i love the word pairings throughout this and the alliterations! And how poetry can be a form of catharsis as youv said here. And i must also highlight some of the lines, that really stood out for me.
