Inertia

I’ve been here so long In, around and passing by. Then, There you were. At first you seemed out of place, Like your presence was almost contrived. Once, I'd have called it cosmically inspired But I'd learned to dismiss such thoughts. Yet, There you were. As if you'd been there longer than me, Moss gathering, no rolling for you. Perfectly fit to your surroundings, Embodiment of the inert. Pondering your mysterious presence, I opened to destiny once again. Then, You were gone. And I was moved. September 18, 2023
