In the Desert
“Comrades, friends, ahoy!”
The grand old desert echoes your full-throated call
The great sand-dunes are relegated to tiny shapes
Under the giant tyrant, the lonely Sun
Even more insignificant is your withered body
An ocean of thirst greets it; these are the times
When you discover yourself governed by mirages
All through your life, your myriad face
Parched by desires and lusts and longings
Go, run to find the oasis, it’s here, all the time it’s here!
