When the eagle soars wild and free Come.. When the seagull flies over the sea Come to me. Slowly you rise like a slow moving tide you rise like an angel and come to my side Speak softly starlight and moon beams your beauty surrounding me. When the mist settles after the rain Stay… When the gentle wind whispers your name Stay with me… Walking together through pine scented trees the forest is calling, come closer to me Our eyes meet passions ignited enraptured eternally. Laura, I have been admiring your lyric for over a week now, and because of this I was inspired to give this contest a try. The more I try to match both the mood and the irregular meter, the more I admire how well you put this together! The romantic vibe you paint is so lovely with the imagery of birds soaring, tide and forest, stars and moon, wind and rain. Well, thank you, John! It was harder for me than it looks, as I kept changing certain phrases at first to go with the melody better. I’ll look forward to reading your interpretation of the song! Writing a lyric that works is harder than it appears, I think! :)
