dedicated to the homeless:

People sleeping in rail cars People sleeping in chairs Anyone who is not anyone is splitting their hairs Every one of them Are in my prayers Sleeping in cars sleeping on floors Breaking some heads and kicking down doors People in uniforms Are not uniformed If they don’t care then what are they all here for? People in pain can’t sleep People in pain just stare Every one of them Are in my prayers We have seen this all before We know Thiers going to be more Masters building their empires building their wars Counting their virgins And beating their whores The howling dogs of war, I will pray for An old man is too old for fighting And fighting is getting old And to many people outside getting sick getting cold And soon becomes the misery As souls inside disappear Those who have become so empty Are in my prayers, The Trump card has been called, calling for sessions calling for creeds sucking down moonshine out stepping on weeds the powerful are happy their getting their way crushing the poor Whose needs are taking away that is the reason we all must pray

This made me so sad except that I know you are praying along with all of us. So well done. Love the choice of words on your pallet. Love how you evoked emotion. Good write and good read! E. Nau

A lovely poem. The sharp sensitivity is beautiful. A lesson to learn to include the existential pains into one's prayer.

Hi Cynthia, Just thinking about your poem, got me to thinking about my past. I've worked in Drug Rehab, been on active service in the army and now work as a volunteer at our Hospice. I've seen so many terrible faces of the lost and lonely. I thank God for His Strength. Once again, a lovely poem. God Bless. D.

We are all special love, every one of us should care for each other, we would in a perfect world. Sadly our world is far from perfect so just keep on praying. Remember PUSH [Pray Until Something Happens] God Bless. D.

People in uniforms are not uninformed, blue bleeds red like me, is it all only for green? Excellent, brave writing, thank you for sharing.

Folk are always in my prayers, some on the prayer chain, some not, but all are prayed for. In a way the prayers are for myself, giving thanks to God that I am doing fine, made clear to me when I pray for others. Nice write. God Bless. D.

I pray always I am deeply troubled for the world and the innocent people caught up in the greed and hate for being different, may as well stay in touch with god so your not like strangers when you finally meet
