Ill Effects of Criticism

Married to a typical middle class family, my life was miserable. Everyone criticized me constantly, I would often cry. I felt I was useless, I did not deserve to live. I contemplated suicide. criticize never low self esteem depression unpleasant outcome Then my son was born. He followed the bandwagon. One day he told me, "Prove you are good otherwise I will not stay with you". I was shocked. How miserable he must be feeling from inside! I instantly responded, "Prove that I am bad. Tell me ten bad things I have done." righteous deeds ever cool calm and fearless clear conscience After few minutes of pondering he could not find anything. He asked, "Mom you are so good, still why people always criticize you?" I replied, "I don't know. But you ruined your peace because you didn't use your brain and blindly followed others. Always use your brain. Think and act. Never copy." blind faith mocks ones brain following without thinking disastrous results If I had told him all are bad, there would have been no difference between others and me. Criticism breeds hatred and robs peace and joy. I strongly believe however bad others may be we have to be good. don't do tit for tat all are punished for sins God has no mercy He saw how I was polite and helpful towards everyone. He automatically imbibed those habits. Now he has lots of respect for me and says his mother is the best. be a role model practice what you preach to kids shape noble human My son got the best students award in school last year.
