Ii Sides
Melody observed by ear Thunder strikes lightening
The faucet on an off beat our bodies
steps... twist and knot
Growth is soundless Breath seems
Silence brings thought difficult to catch
contemplation's angle sits set feelings heighten intensity
With the spine of a worm Then sleep...then up
Rules are made
to be broken
Promises forgotten Smells fill the air
are remembered biscuits, eggs, grits
reawakened and forgotten prepared the home way
As I sip and slurp The meal ends
warm soda The desire begins
without fizz. We are more than friends.
The Joy of Boredom. Egg elbows and arms
Grits on each hip
My life I left behind
The shelter of Imagination.
