Children, like some adults, would love to make changes to their lives rather than follow their designated track each day. Not everyone can achieve this.

If Only A lonely child of seven years considered life thus far, felt quite fed up with how things were and wished upon a star. She longed to be a butterfly, delicate and pale blue, so she could flit on filmy wings in flowers, Summer through. She wished to be a white seabird soaring above the waves, catching fish in her yellow beak, exploring cliff face caves. If only she could be a sheep snug in a woolly frock and live in a field of lush green grass, a friend of all the flock. Sad to say, there is no choice for life is fixed you see, and even if I'd like a change I'm stuck with being me.
