I WISH I HAD
I WISH I HAD
I wish I had courage
The cowardly Lion admitted
To stand up and be bold
Against a foe when pitted
I wish I had a heart
The Tin Man strongly desired
To feel emotions once again
And to become inspired
I wish I had brains
The scarecrow keenly sought
To work out hard equations
And solve clues of every sort
I wish I was home
It was what Dorothy yearned
To return soon to Kansas
With lessons she had learned
I wish I had a bone
Toto slavered at the thought
But waiting until outside
Just as he’d been taught
