I Remember

I remember to way I felt for him that spring, For him, I think I would have done anything; Memories flood my being as I reminisce, And think of all the things about him that I miss; He told me that someday we would run away, He lied, but I find myself still waiting for that day; I loved the way he held me as we kissed, Unwanted feelings boil to the surface and are dismissed; And although I know we don’t belong, I find my self hanging on and hoping that I’m wrong; So many years have passed since that time; I really thought that he was mine...
