I Dreamed of Peace

Once I dreamed a dream of peace That came upon a ravaged land Giving hope to those broken hearts Helping the fallen once again to stand I dreamed a dream of a mother Laying her burden down at last Her child safe when put to sleep Those darkest hours gone at last I dreamed of grass where children play Now bright green and full of life Where birds can sing and freely fly Far gone the days of war and strife I dreamed…….. 2/17/19
