I Do Need You So Lord, But Why
Tis thought the man who never cries is steel,
but weak is he who weeps and soul doth feel,
the doleful yearning in his heart to be,
in love and near the one he cannot see.
But dare I say in moments as I age,
yea as each new day turns another page,
truth whispers to, and stalks my Earthly frame,
and tells me death will surely lay its claim.
Do you fake peace and gamble with your soul?
And do you think it all of your control?
Or do you see the love and truth that be,
there is the one, the Christ, who died for thee.
I vouch for him who daily cradles me ---
into whose arms I surely long to flee.
