I Believe
I believe firm lighthouses never fail lost ships,
And the eye of the cow fattens the calf
And spiritual milk sustains the soul
And the young will learn of goals.
I believe the sea of splendor scolds and soothe
And the four winds growl, yet sing
And the rain that drowns is also healing
And the sun and air most forgiving.
I believe One and only One Light lifts us to life,
And our inner eyes look deep at its prize
And our ears perk at the sound of silence
And our voice is of One, never absent.
